An opportunity has arisen with one of our leading clients. To join their team to support out their marine Sector. this is an exciting opportunity as you will gain exposure to Procurement transformation programmes and exposure to bidding.

Duties and Responsibilities: The key responsibilities of the role are:

Further enhance and deliver sourcing strategy for Engineering related services and equipment across Marine based Profit Centres.

Work closely with Marine operational/technical stakeholders to deliver already identified cost reduction projects that will contribute to EBIT improvement for FY15 and FY16, with a particular focus on vessel repairs and maintenance.

Lead/facilitate a recently set-up cross-functional sourcing team to ensure continued engagement of all stakeholders and identification of further cost saving initiatives.

Drive best practice `Source to Pay` processes across the Marine Profit Centres, standardising where it makes sense to do so.

Be a point of contact and subject matter expert in the sourcing of Marine related services and equipment for the operational/technical stakeholders.

Implement a robust Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programme with key suppliers.

Support Serco bid teams as a Marine subject matter expert to ensure robust supply chain planning. Ensure new customer contracts are integrated into existing marine processes.

Ensure Profit Centre business requirements are clearly understood and cost reduction opportunities are aligned with them.

Ensure development of rigorous contracts for all critical, strategic and preferred suppliers within the category, incorporating service level agreements and continuous improvement targets.

Ensure weekly Programme Management Office (PMO) reporting requirements are fully supported.

Be an `ambassador` for SPS within the Profit Centres.
Experience required: Extensive experience in a Marine procurement environment - preferably within a ship management/owner Business,rather than an outsourced service provider. Knowledge of vetting and compliance in design and management of Marine vendor contract.
