Area Sales Manager, Marine Electronics – Havant – Competitive Annual Salary

We are looking for a self-driven team player with an aptitude for sales, someone who would contribute successfully to the growth of Commercial sales through existing dealer channels. As well as, securing both New Build and Retrofit projects.

Our client provides an impeccable service to their customers, with an eagerness to find someone who can replicate and grow this legacy. They provide products and services for markets such as commercial, deep-sea, pelagic fishing, yachts and superyachts, land and marine security, and safety and environmental systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Growth of activity and maintenance of relationships within the commercial customer market
  • Ownership of the sales lifecycle; advising customers around vessel specs, compliance and relevant regulations.
  • Manage commercial dealers to include visits to introduce new products and support
  • Ownership of IMO workboat market and development of non-IMO workboat sector
  • Report on competitor and legislative changes that affect sales efforts
  • Aftersales advice, supporting installed systems to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Lead development of sensor business with systems integrators
  • Monthly reporting on sales sector activity
  • Trade exhibition planning, preparation, and attendance
  • Monitor and assist in the delivery of sales margins as directed by senior management

Requirements:

  • Proven experience work in a technical sales environment, ideally in Marine Electronics
  • Track record in identifying and delivering on New Business Development
  • Detailed experience of UK marine electronics industry and associated products
  • Knowledge of ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to understand and analyse sales performance metrics
  • Excellent customer service demeanor
  • Strong communication and team management skills, team player is a must!
  • Degree in relevant field or demonstrable experience in Marine Electronics
  • Full UK Driving License required
  • This is a field sales role and significant nationwide travel and intermittent international travel
