Job Description:
* Responsible for monitoring and reporting on the quality/quantity of bunkers procured
* provide technical / commercial assistance to the bunker trading team
* Assist in managing contract Nomination and spot bunkering
* Identify and evaluate key parameters and establish benchmarking in order to provide a grading on the quality of bunkers procured, and in order to manage a rating system for the bunker suppliers
* Focus on establishing bunker quality vis-à-vis environmental friendliness and energy optimization
* Get involved in and oversee the BQS for bunkering operations globally along with optimization team.
* Manage Bunker quality and quantity claims (including that established via BQS) raised between Buyers and Sellers, and follow-up to ensure swift and smooth resolution.
* Get involved in establishing bunker vigilance procedures for prevention of bunker fuel pilferage
* Meet both customer and supplier requirements and establish great relationships within the industry
* Develop and maintain a solid and stable portfolio of customers
* Ensure optimal customer satisfaction by building strong personal relations and providing specialist advice in bunker solutions
* Investigate and develop new areas of focus
* Survey ports/regions, tracking vessel movements and coordinating fuel delivery and surveillance of the total supply chain
* Conduct market analysis and handle marketing tasks
Requirements:
* Solid experience with proven results in bunker trading/shipping
* Experienced user of Microsoft Office. Experience with Microsoft NAV is a plus
* Fluent in both written and verbal English and any foreign language is a plus
* Ambitious and proactive
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills
* Strong analytical mindset
* Pragmatic approach to problem solving
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
