Legal Counsel (Corporate, Commercial and Compliance) – London – Permanent – £75k – £120k DOE

A renowned shipping company based in London are looking to strengthen their legal team with a qualified solicitor to focus on a diverse range of compliance, corporate and commercial matters. The company owns a mixed fleet of vessels that operate globally, and as such, the legal work you will be exposed to will be varied and interesting.

You will be expected to provide legal advice to the company relating to areas such as acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic projects. You will also be responsible for the drafting and negotiation of numerous legal contracts such as NDA’s, loan and service agreements and compliance policies and procedures.

Applicants must be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales or otherwise qualified in a commonwealth jurisdiction. You will ideally have at least 3 years PQE with relevant experience in the areas of law described. Experience in a similar in-house role will be advantages but this also suits someone in private practice that is looking to broaden their experience by moving in-house.

A good package is available to the successful applicant and this presents a chance to gain some lucrative in-house experience with a leading company in their field. You must have the right to live and work in the UK to apply.
