Chief Engineer (Ferry) – Southampton, UK

I am looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join a ferry. A great opportunity to work at sea but go home every night.

Responsibilities:

• Lead on the technical standards on board and ensures the effective implementation of the associated areas of the Safety Management System
• Ensure repairs are carried out in a timely manner and to a high standard
• Strong administrative and practical support to the survey Chief Engineer in planning refits
• An ability to lead, motivate and develop junior officers, as well as developing strong working relationships with the deck officers and ratings

Requirements:

• Chief Engineer Officer Unlimited CoC (UK)
• Living within a commutable distance to South-West Southampton as you do not live onboard.
• Passenger experience would be beneficial but is not crucial
• Existing right to live and work in the UK
