Boat Crew (Tour Boat) – Devon

I have an exciting position available for someone to join a small cruise company based in South Devon as Boat Crew.

This role will include:

• Rope work
• Attention to safety
• Serving refreshments in the fully-licensed on board bars
• Cleaning
• A huge focus on customer service to retain an excellent reputation

Although the role has a range of flexible hours including weekends, weekdays, evenings and Bank Holidays, on average we are looking for someone to work 37.5 hours a week and possibly for more over the busy summer period. Working on the boats can include long days and hard physical labour at times due to the deck work involved.

Requirements:

• Motivated and willing to be hands on as the role not only involves serving refreshments but also deck duties such as rope handling, washing windows and general maintenance.
• No previous ship experience is required but knowing you are not prone to sea-sickness will be beneficial
• Customer service background in hospitality or similar is preferred – the deck work can be learnt onboard.

As this is a permanent position, there is also an opportunity to progress with this company and become a Skipper.

Applicants must be living within a commutable position to Exmouth and have an existing right to live and work in the UK.
