Technical Superintendent (LCO2) – Permanent – London – Excellent salary & benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable shipping organisation based in London. They are currently recruiting for a Technical Superintendent to manage a fleet of LCO2 Vessels. Although based in London they do offer a hybrid working model (days in office / working from home). The role also offers excellent progression opportunities.

Responsibilities will include:

• Development of vessel-operating budgets
• Working on longer-term projects for example planned maintenance systems and capital projects; Dry Docks and major repairs
• Providing support in all aspects of ship operations
• Carry out regular risk reviews for vessel operations and ensure appropriate actions are taken
• Analysing the nature and root cause of any serious breakdown or damages
• Review monthly OPEX costs against budget & report on any deviations
• Coach and develop Masters, Chief Engineers and direct reports ashore

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Must have sailed up to Chief/2nd Engineer on Tankers, LPG or LNG Carriers (Preferred)
• Motorship LNG experience is highly desirable
• Involvement in Technical / Newbuild Projects with some accountability
• Must have understanding of cargo containment system & cargo handling equipment
• Previous shore based experience is preferred but would consider an experienced Chief Engineer looking to move ashore.
