Supplier Relationship Manager (Ferries) - Permanent - Gourock / Agile Working
The UK's largest ferry operator in terms of ships and destinations served and one of the largest transport operators in Scotland is looking for a Supplier Relationship Manager to join their busy team based in Gourock, Scotland.
The purpose of this role is to identify, develop and deliver Supplier Relationship Management strategies and best practice, including adopting a culture of continuous improvement and supply chain excellence. Cognisance of working in a regulated Procurement/Supply Chain environment, ensuring compliance to all relevant Legislation, Processes and Procedures, and driving value for money.
Duties of this role include;
* Manage and continuously improve Supplier Relationship Management processes, procedures, policies, standards and governance for the business.
* Responsibility for driving the right behaviours in supplier relationships and overseeing the development of such behaviours in other functions across the business.
* Create and implement Supplier Relationship Management strategies for the identified Corporate Services spend and supply chain.
* Proactively seek and build continuous and meaningful engagement with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver improved value for money, whilst ensuring delivery of high-quality goods and services.
* Work with key stakeholders and suppliers to understand key trends in relation to applicable supply markets that can be reported back to the business.
They are looking for an individual who fits the below criteria;
* Proven track record in complex Supplier Relationship Management is essential.
* Degree and/or Member of the Charted Institute of Purchasing & Supplies or equivalent qualification is desirable.
* Experience of both Public and Private sector Supplier Relationship Management is desirable.
* Working knowledge of the Supply Chain and contract processes, including legislation is essential.
* Awareness of best practice advances in Supplier Relationship Management is essential.
* Team player with excellent communication and influencing skills.
* Self-starter and solutions focused.

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
