Supplier Requirement Manager (Ferries) - Permanent - Gourock / Agile Working
The UK's largest ferry operator in terms of ships and destinations served and one of the largest transport operators in Scotland is looking for a Supplier Requirement Manager to join their busy team based in Gourock, Scotland.
Reporting to the Head of Technical Authority this role will provide the capability to develop supplier requirements and conduct quality and safety assurance activity of the marine and technical supply chain to enable Fleet Management to provide safe, reliable, and available vessels to ensure quality of service to ferry users.
A key element of this role will be to provide oversight and strategy for the integration of future technical supply chain needs for future vessels and upgrades, with the current business supply chain requirements.
This role will direct and oversee the Quality Assurance of marine and technical suppliers though verification activity working closely with the Performance Assurance team.
They are looking for an individual who fits the below criteria;
* Degree or equivalent qualification essential together with a minimum of five years general management experience
* Experience of working in a Marine or Transport related industry is essential
* Be able to demonstrate an ability to foster close working relationships both internally and with external suppliers and partners
* Have excellent analytical and commercial problem-solving skills, coupled with strong communication, influencing and collaborative working skills
* Ability to deal with staff and build relationships at all levels both internally and externally
* Proven verbal and written communication skills

Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
