Technical Support Engineer (Marine) – Permanent- Poole- £ Competitive

Navis Consulting have an opportunity for an individual with extensive engineering knowledge and high customer care standards. This role is aimed at an individual that enjoys working alongside a well oiled team but also has the ability to work alone under pressure. You will be working within the water and waste sector an exciting environmental friendly industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to incoming technical and operational problems
• Provide verbal and written explanations
• Diagnose problems, provide solutions, and deliver further information if necessary
• Ability to understand drawings/designs
• Been in control of supply of equipment and parts
• Arrange scheduling of service engineers and delegate roles
• Promote sales and upgrades where appropriate
• Complete quotes and auditing processes
• Confirm with customers when actions are complete
• All jobs recorded
• Provide emergency ‘out of hours’ cover

Experience required:

• Excellent general mechanical and electrical marine engineering background
• Understanding P&ID and mechanical and electrical drawings
• Qualifications as a time served Apprenticeship and an HND / HNC with a Marine Engineering background.
• Previous experience and product knowledge is required
• Excellent communications skills verbal and written
• Ability to work alone and within a group
• A willingness to undertake occasional field service work both UK and overseas
• SAP knowledge is an advantage
