Senior Marine Surveyor - Istanbul, Turkey

Key Responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out marine damage investigations and loss prevention surveys onboard ships (H&M, P&I, Yachts)
• Preparing reports on survey findings, with particular emphasis on nature, extent and cause of damage
• Communicating with clients
• Communicating with and appointing specialists and subcontractors, as necessary
• Communicating with the other offices of the Group
• Mentorship to other engineers/surveyors on technical matters
• Freedom for domestic and international travelling

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience:

• Merchant Marine Academy graduate, with large seagoing experience on worldwide trading ships
• Shore experience as Superintendent Engineer or Technical Manager in shipping company will be considered as an advantage
• Surveying experience, i.e. classification society, would also be an advantage
• Good knowledge of ship repair practices amongst Turkish shipyards and repair contractors
• Fluent in written and spoken English

• Ability to work under pressure
• Organized and detail-oriented
• Able to multitask and prioritize using good time management skills
• Comfortable in working with minimal supervision and also working as part of a team

Salary Offered:

Net monthly salary: USD 4,500
12 salaries annually
Annual gross will be calculated and provided at a later stage
