Service Engineer

Service Engineer – Permanent – Christchurch

We are working with a Marina within Christchurch, who are looking for engineers to maintain the various vessels and equipment which they oversee.

Key activities:

• Servicing, diagnosing, repairing and maintenance of all marine engines
• Carry out service and minor repairs on outboard, inboard and commercial engines
• Replace broken or worn out engine parts, carry out rebuilds
• Troubleshoot engine and electrical problems
• Safety test the performance of marine engines and electrical systems
• Repair faulty hydraulic and steering systems
• Have good knowledge of marine plumbing including fresh water, fuel and sanitation
• Travel to marina or dock where the vessel/job is located across the local area

Person Specification:

• Must have 2 years experience working within the marine industry.
• Will ideally hold RYA Powerboat Level 2
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised
• Driving license required
• Full Right to work in UK
