Technical Superintendent

Technical Superintendent (Tankship) - Permanent - London

A leading tanker company with a global presence are recruiting a Technical Superintendent to join their team in London.

Duties will include;

• Manage all technical matters and ensure that safety is being given the highest priority.
• Manage financial budgets and cost control for maintenance, repairs, stores, modifications, and dry docking while ensuring compliance with industry, Class and International regulations.
• Maintain close communication with the vessel management team, and lead, develop and coach assigned senior officers on all matters (safety, technical, cost, leadership).
• Conduct appraisal of crew member, brief crew on organisational policies, documentation, and procedures.
• Arrange Classification Society, Statutory and Flag State surveys.

They are looking for an individual who;

• Has good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Physically fit and willing to travel on short notice when and as required (approx. 50-60 days annually)
• Qualified as Chief Engineer or equivalent.
• Background as Marine Engineer, preferred sailed as chief engineer on crude/chemical tankers.
• Has at least 3 years of experience and proven technical ability as technical superintendent or similar position.
• Planned maintenance system experience
