Responsibilities:
- Implement, maintain and review the safe practices and conditions as described in the Project HSSE Plan.
- Implement, maintain and review procedures as described in the Project Emergency Response Plan
- Monitor, verify and report on risk mitigation measures described in the Project Risk Assessment Plan.
- Carry out independent safety assessment (audits or inspections) against criteria described in Project HSSE Plan, Risk Assessment Plan and Project Emergency Response Plan.
Authority:
- Stop and report any unsafe operations to Ship Master and DPA
- To coach and motivate all personnel
Key Tasks:
- Interface with client HSE Representatives
- Conducts project safety induction
- Monitors adherence to project HSSE rules, plans and policies
- Investigates all lost time injuries and incidents which had or could have had high potential consequences
- Carries out safety inspection
- Secretary of safety meetings
- Host tool box meetings
- Host job safety assessments
- Maintains daily report of HSSE intervention and monitoring activities
- Maintain project related HSSE reports and records
Key Deliverables:
- Power point for project safety induction
- Safety inspection checklist based on project HSSE plan, risk assessment plan and emergency response plan
- Minutes of safety meeting
- Investigation reports
- Job safety assessment reports
- Daily HSSE intervention and monitoring report
- Project related HSSE reports
Main Requirements:
- At least two years of work floor experience in a sea going capacity or maritime or heavy industries (e.g. offshore, shipyard, construction)
- At least two years of work experience in safety, health and environment supervision
- Professional certification in safety, health and environment from a recognised institution, i.e. NEBOSH
- Competent in producing HSSE related reports and power point presentations
- Experience in training and coaching would be an advantage
- Very good personal communication skills
- Motivated, independent and proactive
- Willing to work and travel on board heavy lift vessel
