Senior Agency Operator – (Rotterdam)

Senior Agency Operator – Permanent – Rotterdam, Holland – €37k – €42k plus overtime

This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding Shipping Agency based in Rotterdam.

Responsibilities include:

• Act as the point of contact for the customer
• Maintain daily contact with various parties (customers, ships, authorities and other maritime service providers)
• Ensuring that the port call runs as optimally and efficiently as possible for ship and crew
• Identifying and resolving possible problems and delays
• Coordinate and control deliveries on board ships
• Planning crew changes (arranging taxis, hotels etc)
• Line up Cash To Master and have it executed
• Completing and keeping internal and external systems up-to-date (Port Authority, Customs)
• Controlling the Outdoor Operators / Water Clerks

Qualifications/Experience Required:

• Experience in the industry is an advantage
• Good command of the Dutch and English language (Spoken & Written)
• Accurate, customer-oriented, an organizer and a coordinator
• Good communication skills, both orally and in writing
• Willing to work according to the applicable schedule during the week and also on weekends
• In possession of a Driving License B
