Service Engineer

Service Engineer- Perm – UK Wide

Job purpose

The postholder will undertake all duties associated with that of a Service Engineer, based from the Company’s head office in Chichester, involving remote working from home and providing site service and maintenance at Customer sites throughout the UK. In addition, the postholder will use their technical knowledge, satisfying client demand and delivering a service to a high standard.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Provide site service and maintenance at petrochemical sites throughout the UK

• Undertake planned and reactive maintenance

• Complete site documentation including permit requests, method statements & risk assessments.

• Compile written reports for customers.

• Remote diagnosis / support of customer systems When not on-site support of the workshop activities, including build and functional testing

Knowledge & experience

• Experience in service provision/recognised apprenticeship
• Experience of mechanical equipment repairs, with knowledge of electrical fault finding, process control &
• Awareness & understanding of Quality, Environmental, Safety & Explosive Atmospheres Standards & working procedures
• Competent IT skills (including Microsoft applications)
• Competent in general administration tasks required to support this role
• Competent in producing Customer/Service reports
• Hazardous area training
• Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Posses excellent time management skills – organised and punctual
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• Mechanical engineers to be aware of Mechanical Compex Rules
• MEWP, PASMA, IPAF (Training provided as required)
• Independent Safety Passport preferred
