Due to continual expansion my client are looking to employ an Environmental Scientist to join our East Midlands Geo-Environmental Team.
Suitable candidates will hold a BSc (MSc desirable) in Geology/Environmental Science or other related science subjects and have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience.
In addition, you will possess excellent communication and report writing skills with attention to detail and accuracy; have experience working with a range of reporting and data management software packages; be proficient at undertaking site inspections on a range of sites; and have working knowledge of soil and groundwater risk assessment principles. Candidate will possess a sound understanding of the principles of Part 2a, the UK planning process and waste management regulations and work well as part of a busy team.
In addition, you will possess a basic understanding of geotechnical issues surrounding redevelopment and be able to routinely provide basic foundation advice and infiltration advice in relation to BRE365.
The role is varied and will involve site and office work, where you will be working to obtain and collate information required to prepare Phase I Geo-Environmental Assessments, supervise Phase II Geo-Environmental Site Investigations across the East Midlands. Delivery of field logs and report writing skills are essential.
This role requires a full UK Driving Licence and candidates must be prepared to work at other offices for specific training weeks when required.

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships or oil rigs.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
