Head Chef required to work on a small cruise ship operating around the Scottish Highlands.

To head a small kitchen with a small number of staff

Controlling and directing the food preparation process

Approving and polishing dishes before they reach the customer.

Managing and working closely with other Chefs of all levels.

Creating menu items, recipes and developing dishes ensuring variety and quality.

The season starts April and ends mid October.

The following certificates are required:

  • Food Hygiene certificate
  • Food Safety certificate
  • ENG1
  • STCW – PST, FP&FF, PSSR, EFA
  • Crisis Management
  • Crowd Management

Ensure compliance with sanitation / HACCP / COSHH regulations
Attend all crew drills
Keep uniform and hygiene standards to a high level
Provide crew meals

Requirements for all crew:
Well-spoken and confident
Proven work experience
Prepared to work shift hours, 7 days a week

This vessel operates solely in the UK so you will need a Valid right to work or a frontiers worker permit.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
