Technical Superintendent (Tankers) – Permanent – Glasgow – Excellent package

Due to expansion we are looking for a Technical Superintendent with Tanker (Oil/Chemical) experience based in Glasgow.

This is an excellent opportunity for a 1st / Chief Engineer with Tanker experience to move ashore or an experienced Technical Superintendent looking for a new challenge

Responsibilities include:

• The safe, efficient and economic performance of the vessels;
• In charge of dry-dock ,major upgrades and repairs
• In charge of all Class matters including timely arrangement of surveys
• In charge of timely arrangement of shore services in conjunction with Class
• Monitor PMS status onboard, monitor critical and major equipment spare parts
• Act with highest priority to close out of reported defects
• Main equipment service letters implementation and follow up
• Managing ship’s budgets, provision and update vessels on a monthly basis
• In charge of all purchasing matters, verify quotations in relation to costs and requirements

Experience Required:

• 1 year of previous experience as a Technical Superintendent working with a ship-management/ship-owning company (Desirable)
• Hold a Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer CoC with senior sailing experience on tankers
• Experience with Drydocks
• Strong knowledge of industry rules and regulation
• Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic, positive and good team player
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Flexibility to travel frequently worldwide at short notice
