Fleet Maintenance Manager – Permanent – London – Good salary DOE

This is an excellent opportunity to join a thriving tour operator based on the river Thames.

You will have full responsibility and accountability for the maintenance of all vessels and supporting systems. To maintain, improve and keep all vessels on the water in full operation throughout changeable seasons.

Responsibilities include:

• Ensure all boats are ready for service as per company demands, whilst maintaining excellent onboard standards and 1st class care of assets.
• Lead and delegate workloads, deadlines and expectations to Fleet Support Team.
• Manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the service and fleet.
• Implement policies and procedures to ensure efficiency and safety of team and service delivery.
• Manage general upkeep, routine & emergency maintenance for the fleet
• Lead pre-season annual service overhauls, full vessel audits and project management

Experience Required:

• Strong Marine/Mechanical Engineering background and knowledge
• Has experience of working in the tourism industry, or has a leisure background within a customer interfacing role
• Experience with Passenger ships, leisure boats, Ribs or small craft is preferred
• Can think commercially, appreciate broader goals and has a record of driving individual projects to completion.
• Is comfortable working alone, managing time efficiently and has experience interacting with all levels of hierarchy.
• Competent boat handling a plus, RYA Advanced Powerboat preferred

The role is based in central London and you are expected on site daily so need to live within commutable distance. Must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK drivers licens
