Job Description: Lead Marine Engineer (Field Service)- Permanent - Newcastle Upon Tyne - Competitive Salary & Overtime

A leading marine diesel manufacturer is recruiting for a Lead Marine Engineer to join the service team in Newcastle to lead major overhauls on medium and high-speed diesel engines with the help of a small team.

Duties will include;

* Travelling around the UK and globally to undertake major overhauls.
* Managing all assigned jobs for on-time delivery and quality.
* Reporting and maintaining contact with the manager to establish workload and spares requirements.
* Allocating engineers to specific jobs and tasks.
* Identifying areas that require attention or additional work, advising the customer and manager when necessary.

The successful candidate will have previous diesel service engineering experience in the marine of offshore sector and have worked on major overhauls of medium and high-speed engines as well as ancillary equipment.

QHSE knowledge and awareness is preferred as well as the ability to lead and conduct major overhauls.
