Electrical Service Engineer (Diesel)

Job Description: Marine Electrical Engineer (Field Service)- Permanent - Newcastle Upon Tyne - Competitive Salary

A leading marine diesel manufacturer is recruiting for Marine Electrical Engineer to join the service team in Newcastle to lead major electrical overhauls on medium and high-speed diesel engines as part of a team.

Duties will include;

* Travelling around the UK and globally to undertake major electrical overhauls.
* Conducting electronic, electrical and system repairs and overhauls on board vessels and in a workshop.
* Carrying out inspection and surveys and commissioning activities as well as diagnostics and trouble shooting.

The successful candidate will have previous electrical servicing engineering experience in the marine or offshore sector.

The ideal candidate will have a knowledge of ancillary equipment, different systems, as well as switchboard and generators.

HSE knowledge and awareness and excellent communication skills are ideal.
