Fleet Service Engineer

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Fleet Service Engineer (FSE) to join a UK Maritime company with a vast fleet of vessels. For this role candidate will be reporting to the Technical Support Co-ordinator within the Fleet Operations Department. Regular travel is require for this role, passport must be valid and UK full drivers license.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Working within the team to ensure all vessels within the fleet are technically available at all times
• Carry out any duties instructed by the Technical Support Co-ordinator
• Provide training and assist with the development of the Assistant FSE
• Provide training as required to vessels crew members for routine maintenance and fault-finding exercises
• Adhere to the company Health and Safety Policies
• Review each vessels Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and perform routine machinery servicing that is above the capabilities of the vessels crew members
• Follow the requirements of the IMS system in regard to the day to day task including following safe systems work
• Investigate each vessels defects and formulate a plan with Technical Superintendent to rectify and close these efficiently as possible during your attendance on board the vessel
• Maintain and perform stock checks
• Flexibility to attend a vessel at short notice and the ability to “work to finish” on jobs that are time critical to return vessel to operation
• Support vessel dry docking and refits
• Support other members of the Fleet Operations department as required to resolve any specific issue, teamwork is paramount

Location - working from home, company car or hire car provided for travel
Rotation- 14 days on/off
Salary - £35-£40K plus bonus, pension and benefits
Holidays - 25 days plus bank holidays
Start Date - ASAP
