Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Project Engineer that is motivated, self-sufficient, innovative, adaptable and resourceful engineer to work for a UK Maritime company that has ambitious plan for growth within their subsectors. Candidate should ideally have proven commercial engineering and project engineering experience, carrying out professional report writing experience and have personnel management experience. The work will include assisting with the tender, the delivery and the close out of contracts together with the general running of a diverse marine service company. You will be provided with training and support from within the company.
Required certification/experience
Degree level or equivalent qualification in a technical engineering discipline
Maritime engineering experience
Computer literacy with CAD ability
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to problem solve, adapt quickly to changes in circumstances yet ensure an emphasis on quality is maintained
- Skilled multitasker, able to support several projects at a time
- Assist with preparation of engineering schedules and forecasts.
- Design marine structures using CAD software in cooperation with naval architect and lifting engineer.
- Support the Company fleet and personnel in delivery of projects and in vessel operations.
- Development and delivery of project deliverables to a high standard.
- Support aspects of the fabrication, transportation and installation of marine structures.
- Provide input into Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the marine operations.
- Contribute to the drafting of work tenders, bid documents and new business pitches.
- Participate in Client/contractor meetings resolving Client/engineering project issues.
- Represent our clients to contractors and sub-contractors during fabrication and installation projects.
Working hours - 5 days a week, flexibility required to suit tidal working and weekend working
Salary - competitive dependent on experience
Start Date - ASAP
Holiday allowance - 28 days including bank holidays
Location - South coast, England
