Commissioning Engineer - Ship Electrification Solutions

For our client's Field Service Team for Ship Electrification Solutions within the business unit Project Services, our client is looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and filled with ambition Commissioning & Service Engineer for Ship Electrification Solutions, to join our client's team.

Your responsibilities:

• Commissioning, repair as well as warranty works within areas of electrical power generation, power distribution and electrical shore connection systems.
• Testing the system and analysing the equipment and systems on site
• Testing and acceptance of installation, and any necessary adjustments
• Supervision of sea trials, training of ship's crews
• Presentation as well as hand over of equipment systems to the ship owner, shipyard and the classification societies
• Preparation of service and installation reports, as well as the feedback on technical content/changes to involved departments
• Support as well as providing guidance of remote commissioning for other departments of the group

Requirements:

• A Master's or Bachelor's degree within a relevant area (Electrical Engineering or Ships Operational Technology) or anything relevant
• Work experience within the areas of power generation plants, control and converter technology, medium-voltage systems appreciated
• Knowledge in the field of customer service and ship operation is beneficial
• SPS skills are beneficial
• Organised method of working with a hands-on mentality
• English language skills, spoken and written
• Willingness to travel frequently world wide
