Your Responsibilities:
You will control and control the areas below in projects for the lighting and fire alarm system sub-projects, as well as provide system support in close coordination with the sub-project managers. The technical content will be reported to the sub-project manager.
You will record and document the installation status of the lighting package, fire alarm system, alarm, warning and call systems as well as their interfaces to third-party systems. The follow-ups will take place in coordination with the sub-project.
You will identify any installation defects, such as the type and the location of it
You will be comparing the WSAM planning documents with the construction documents of the shipyard, such as using the 3D model of the shipyard.
You will implement any preliminary submissions with the shipyard, including any necessary documentation and follow-ups.
You will be the contact person for the shipyard in technical matters of the sub-projects mentioned below
You will participate in meetings with the shipyard, WSAM construction site, WSAM project management and the sub-projects.
You will support to identify measures to improve quality within the SYE system department, as well as its interface with the construction site.
You will review documents.
You will record and analyse existing structures, as well as processes in projects.
You will describe engineering processes and derivation of possible standards.
You will develop and implement measures to increase quality or to meet specified standards within the SYE
You will support the detection of quality defects on the part of the sub-suppliers
You will implement the FMEA and process controls
Knowledge in the following system areas:
Lighting (lighting calculation, lighting control with DALI, KNX, Lutron)
Security systems (e.g. fire detection system, public address & general alarm system, camera systems)
Communication systems (e.g. telephone systems, intercom systems)
Analysis of customer inquiries according to technical requirements and special classification features
Creation of quantity structures
Inquiries to sub-suppliers
Creation of specifications based on quantity structures and external offers.
Elaboration and clarification of detailed technical concepts for the fulfilment of the customer specifications with the sub-suppliers
Selection and testing of solutions for the delivery of subsystems
Review of sub-supplier offers for technical and financial feasibility
Technical installation advice
Creation of CAD drawings for cable planning, arrangement, assembly and commissioning
Creation of cable database compliant cable and device lists
Creation of test and handover protocols
Arranging for subsystems to be procured by purchasing department
Control of other MES departments as part of order processing (workshop, production, assembly, purchasing, warehouse, shipping)
Monitoring of the given project milestones and costs
Obtaining approvals from classification societies, shipping companies and shipyards
Monitoring of the sub-suppliers and internal departments for compliance with the deadline, technical and qualitative specifications during the commissioning of systems
Handover of the systems to the shipping company and shipyard
Creation of the project documentation
Monitoring and initiating guarantee services or checking for justification
Requirements:
Completed degree in electrical engineering or comparable
Several years of relevant professional experience
Desired qualifications:
English and German language skills
CAD knowledge (AutoCAD and / or EPLAN)
System knowledge
Knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Excel, Word, Visio)
ARM Maritime; Your first port of call.
Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.
Language Requirements
Good knowledge of the English language is required.
Certificates and Qualifications
Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
Please sign up for STCW courses and obtain the certificates if you don't have them yet.
