Composite Technician (Resin Infusion and Dry Lay-Up) – Berinsfield

£25,000 – £35,000 p.a.

The fitting of kitting of glass fibre, foam core and plywood kits for infusion process. The dry layup and resin infusion of component parts used in the construction of GRP boats and related ancillary components. Reporting to the Composites Team Leader, and as a productive member of the team, you will organise your day helping to optimise the processes of infusing parts within the dry lay-up process.

Main Responsibities:

• Responsible for the dry lay-up of fabric and reinforcement across a range of mould tools to ensure optimization of material kits and process is achieved.
• Responsible for the infusion of parts using silicon bag and RTM light processes, ensuring that process controls are adhered to.
• Ensure correct completion of component tracking information and other related documentation to enable batch tracking and traceability of all moulded components.
• Monitor and maintain all related tools and equipment in a safe and useable state, work with our facilities team to maintain records of tools and service interval schedules.
• Maintain production facility in a clean and orderly state, ensuring regular tidy up is carried out and workplace left clean at end of each shift.
• Ensure strict adherence to the company’s Health and Safety policy and operate in accordance with all other company policies and procedures. Ensure correct use and storage of PPE.
