Voyage Manager (LNG) – Glasgow – Permanent – Competitive salary plus bonus & benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a market leading International shipping company based in Glasgow.

As Voyage Manager you will be the main point of contact to many charterers supporting the gas fleet.

Responsibilities include:

• Work closely with all members of the Gas Fleet, ship, and shore, to enhance commercial operational performance.
• Maintain professional relationships with charterers, customers, agents, and other industry professionals.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures including, but not limited to, handling Bills of Lading, Letters of Protest and Letters of Indemnity; liaising with all parties where necessary.
• Review voyage instructions provided by Charterers and liaise with Charterers as required.
• Generate and issue Owners Voyage Instructions to vessels as required.
• Ensure the Vessel Position Report (VPR) is kept up to date always and disseminate any short notice changes to team members in a timely manner.
• Appoint and liaise with port agents to ensure smooth operational turnaround and work with Vessel Managers and Accounts to ensure Port Costs are properly invoiced and controlled.

Experience / Qualifications Required:

• Knowledge of management of LNG vessel operations
• Experience sailing on board LNG vessels as 2nd / 3rd Officer or above
• Hold OOW deck license as a minimum
• Attend vessels whenever possible within agreed team budgets.
  Ability to prioritise work in periods of peak workload.
• Demonstrates teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Must have right to work in the UK
