Marine Engineer – Full Time/Part Time – Dorset

As a Marine Engineer you will be responsible for providing maintenance on all the company vessels and act as engineer on harbour towage duties. Whist there are no engineering duties on outstanding, you will be providing support with general marine maintenance tasks.

Working within a small team, there will be an out of hours rota system, which will involve weekend, bank holiday and night working if required. You will need to be based within Dorset.

The successful candidate will have:

• STCW 111/1 Marine Engineering EOOW or equivalent standard
• All Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping (STCW) 95 Certificates
• Previous experience of operating and maintaining mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment commonly found on sea going vessels.
• Thorough knowledge of the operation of marine diesel engines and electrical systems
• Must be fit enough to meet MCA seagoing medical requirements.
• Full Drivers License
