Quality Manager (Marine) – Permenant – Peterborough – £50,000

Navis Consulting have an opportunity for an individual with the experience in the quality sector demonstrated at a managerial level running a team within a manufacturing environment. You will be working closely with all departments to gather information to help drive up quality standards throughout all procedures. My client is looking for a unique individual to lead by example to mentor and motivate the maintenance of high quality standards to achieve an exceptional working environment for all staff throughout and reducing waste and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Put in place in house quality procedures throughout departments
• Assessing customer requirements, setting the standard and making sure they are met
• Liaising with supplier and specifying quality requirements of raw materials
• Ensuring processes comply with standard both national and international
• Writing management and technical reports for change and improvement in performance quality
• Develop and monitor continuous improvement programs, record, analyze and distribute statistical information
• Quality improvements to reduce manufacturing costs and improve overall products
• Train all colleagues to standards
• Working with suppliers to make sure all requirements are met
• Analyze and record data on product returns and identify problems and eliminate these

Experience Required:

• Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issue
• Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff
• Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output for you and customers
• Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data and report all malfunctions to production executives to ensure immediate action
• Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews and relevant documentation
• Communicate with external quality assurance officers during on-site inspections
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

This is a permanent role looking for a passionate individual wanting to maintain standards throughout a manufacturing environment and with customer delivery. This candidate must have good leadership skills and be able to communicate problems effectively and be proactive within the role.
