This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading Cruise company based in Southampton. The new Director will join the Fleet People Operations team on a Permanent, Full time basis. The role is based in Southampton but offers hybrid working (2 days in office, 3 at home)

The Role

The Fleet People Operations Director is an exciting and varied role that will take on the challenge of leading the team who are accountable for sourcing, scheduling, recruiting & onboarding of Deck, Technical and Medical crew for the Fleet.

• delivering high quality and cost-effective workforce planning and delivery
• building strong relationships with key stakeholders as a visible ambassador for Fleet People Operations
• supporting short and long-term organisational planning and strategy
• as a member of the Leadership Team, provide leadership, development and improvement across the Fleet People Operations function.

Experience Required:

• knowledge of running people/workforce operations and experience of managing complex governance and HESS requirements.
• a natural ability to engage with key stakeholders whilst putting our colleagues at the heart of any solutions delivered
• Ability to understand a complex operational function and create clarity through effective planning.
• concise and clear communication skills are essential
• a good grounding in operations in a complex organisation, it would be ideal if this had been in a multicultural environment and have experienced in union discussions
• budget management experience
• experience working in a crewing/personnel role within a ship owner/managment company (desirable)
• strategic mindset
