Vetting Superintendent – Permanent – London – Competitive package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a global ship owner & operator based in London

Responsibilities include:

• Planning schedule for SIRE inspections for fleet
• Booking SIRE inspection on OCIMF website
• Co-ordinating with vetting teams for inspections
• Pre-SIRE inspections (paper work and onboard visits)
• Follow up on Pre-SIRE open items
• Collating SIRE responses (with assistance of other departments)
• Responding to SIRE inspections on OCIMF website
• Follow-up with vetting teams
• SIRE performance monitoring
• SIRE performance analysis
• SIRE performance improvements
• Maintenance of internal SIRE software (ShipNet / Q88)
• Updating SMS / PMS in line with Vetting findings
• Relationship management with vetting teams

Experience Required:

• Senior officer sailing experience (Deck or engine)
• Significant SIRE experience 10+ inspections as a senior officer
• Demonstratable good performance in SIRE
• Willingness to travel, sometimes at short notice
• Ability to carry out Pre-SIRE inspection of all parts of the vessel (certificates, Deck and engine)
