Project Manager – Permanent – Fareham

My client are on the hunt for a Program Manager to join their ranks. This client are a huge player in the maritime industry, within this subsidiary you will be working at the forefront of the Digital Transformation and Smart Vessel Solutions in the maritime business.

Day to day responsibilities

• Work according to the Commercial Project Management process adopted in Wärtsilä Voyage Services & PMO using appropriate tools.
• Assist Account Manager to prepare competent project offer, specifically focus on technical solution, scope of supply, necessary resources for project deployment, schedule, risks and cost
• Ensure all areas of project management activities from the beginning to the end of the project
• Proactively manage changes in project scope, schedule and cost, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans. Escalate changes which affect project cost or payment milestones to Project Sponsor, plan countermeasures
• Close project, conduct project evaluation, identify and report most successful and unsuccessful project elements for knowledge base

Who we’re looking for

• Several years of Project management experience in a systems integration environment.

• Experience from shipbuilding and ship operations would be an asset.

• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
