HSE Assistant (LNG) - Permanent - London - Competitive

A leading shipping company with a global presence is recruiting for an HSE Assistant to join the team in London.

Reporting to the HSE Manager, this role is primarily responsible for;

* Supporting the HSE team with health, safety, environmental and security matters, liaising with Vessel Masters (as applicable), Fleet Teams and external bodies on the same
* Collating and verifying monthly safety statistics
* Preparing, reviewing and maintaining KPI records for each relevant fleet team and highlighting potential shortfalls in compliance
* Administering random and scheduled alcohol testing results
* Liaising with Flag, Class and other external bodies (as required)
* Monitoring internal and external audit schedules, highlighting any potential overdue audits
* Preparation of presentations, as required by HSE Manager
* Assisting Superintendent(s) with updating procedures and processes in the Company's unified SMS

The successful candidate will have experience in a similar capacity within an office environment, have strong analytical skills and attention to detail and have excellent written and oral communication skills.

You will be degree educated and will also be a team player, strive for quality and be a fast learner.
You will also have excellent working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
