Ships Agent

Due to an exciting period of growth, our client a dynamic and growing Ships Agency and Marine Support company, has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ships Agent to join their team on a permanent basis.
 
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the drive, commitment, and motivation to learn and deliver all aspects of this exciting, varied and hands-on role. Based out of Aberdeen the role will require travel to other ports to conduct vessel visits and therefore a driving licence is essential.  

Working hours are 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday with a duty shift week every 5 weeks.
 
Candidates must be flexible to undertake paid overtime out with these hours, which will include some weekends.

This role will require you to be adaptable to changing shipping patterns, be pro-active, and have strong communication skills and have previous experience in a customer facing role.

Key responsibilities include: 
·Actioning all vessel requests for equipment and supplies, raising, and expediting customer purchase orders.
·Input, retrieving, and reporting of data Driving company vehicles safely to and from vessels with personnel/belongings and equipment.
·Proactively assisting colleagues and undertaking ad hoc duties, as required.
 
Minimum Competencies:
·Be customer focused with strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
·Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities.
·Ability to work alone, demonstrating initiative and ownership, while positively contributing to the wider team.
·Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support.
·Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite.
