R&D Systems Engineer – Northeast Hampshire – Permanent

My client are searching for a R&D Systems Engineer, the successful candidate will work with electronic engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, and production personnel to design, model, integrate, test, and validate electronic components, electro-mechanical assemblies, and subsea systems used in maritime robotics applications.

Required experience;

• The candidate should possess a deep understanding of the engineering principles and concepts that spread across all disciplines (electronic, mechanical, software) and the ability to apply those principles to unique systems for the underwater domain.
• BS in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or Computer Sciences and 2 – 4 years of prior relevant experience or an MS with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience. Years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Experienced with programming languages for scripting such as C++, C#, Java, Python, etc.
• Experienced in the operation of electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, multi-meters, power supplies, function generators, etc.
• Strong interest and curiosity in new technologies and their applications related to UUVs
• Ability to take initiative in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.

The budget for this position is open and negotiable relative to experience.
