Maritime Analyst

Maritime/Shipping Analyst – Europe – Preference for London, Paris or Athens based candidate.

My client, an innovative maritime digital solutions provider, are searching for an expert Analyst with good knowledge of LNG. Your goal as a Maritime Analyst will be to work alongside other functions like Voyage optimization and Customer Success to provide insight to clients to reduce fuel consumption during voyage.

Role expectations:

• Leverage Optimization tools to deliver valuable recommendations to clients
• Construct useful frameworks and analyze data from ship voyages, chartering contracts, and existing performance models to derive strategic insights that will improve vessel and fleet performance.
• Develop strong Voyage Optimization and Boil Off Optimization expertise to provide daily outputs to clients.
• Work with the Sales teams in pre-sales support to explain to prospects how our Optimizations work

Who we are looking for:

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (eg. math, science, engineering, economics, etc.).
• Shipping industry experience with strong preference for a background in LNG
• Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with an ability to find drivers behind the data.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL.
• BONUS: Python experience.
• Ability to work across multiple time zones, with different internal teams
• Self motivated and resourceful, ready to learn new skills along the way.
