Boarding Agent – Permanent – Rotterdam – Competitive salary

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable Shipping Agency based in Rotterdam. Due to the nature of the role your work schedule will include 8 hour shifts; Early, Afternoon and Night shifts.

Responsibilities includes:

• Visiting ships on arrival and departure
• Maintain daily contact with various parties (customers, ships, authorities and other maritime service providers)
• Coordinate and control deliveries on board ships
• Planning crew changes (arranging taxis, hotels etc)
• Completing and keeping internal and external systems (Port, Customs) up-to-date

Experience Required:

• Preferably in possession of a diploma in logistics/shipping (STC)
• Good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing
• Accurate, customer-oriented, an organizer and a coordinator
• Good communication skills
• Prepared to work according to applicable schedule in the morning / evening / night / weekend
• In possession of a Driving License B
