Job Title: Sector Marketing Manager–  Marine Services 

At ARM Maritime, we are working with a global and leading brand within the professional services sector for the maritime industry. Our client are established in more than 70 locations and serve customers based in 182 countries, specialising in technical consulting and ensuring the safety of ships at sea.

We're looking for an Sector Marketing Manager who has proven experience in digitalisation marketing and working within a services environment. The main area focus of this role will be to oversee the production of all sector based marketing campaigns alongside their performance, plan and create strategies within a collaborative cross-functional partnership within the business, and help support the overall growth of the sector.  


Main responsibilities:

  • Accountable for sector’s marketing lifecycle, working cross functionally to ensure that LR has the right campaigns in the market for the right audiences at the right time to win and to achieve strategic goals around finding, keeping and growing with clients
  • Owner of the Marketing Plan for the sector, delivering those messages to drive lead generation and accountable for the plan and its constituent campaign’s performance.
  • Contributes at an executive level to the strategy for growth within the sector, providing the voice of the market
  • Ensures that defend & growth strategies and their marketing plans are based on evidence and insight, working collaboratively with:
    • Area Marketing
    • Area Commercial and Sales
    • Insight and Activation
    • Segment Leads (Gas Ship Segment, Container Ship Segment etc.)
    • Service Delivery
    • Technical Quality, Governance and Technology
    • Customer Experience

 

  • Executing marketing plans with consistency, working collaboratively with:
    • Area Marketing
    • Area Commercial and Sales
    • Channel Marketing and Brand and Communications
    • Customer Experience

 

  • Where a product essential to the strategy is not naturally managed within the business, this role Product Manages, possibly requiring subordinate product management and product marketing resource as the role’s performance and impact evolves
  • Assessing and improving the customer experience with relation to their portfolio area, working collaboratively with the customer experience team and the strategy implementation team.
  • Develops and maintains an in depth understanding of evolving Rule, National Standard and International Convention and Regulatory Instrument requirements, aligning them to marketable opportunity

 

Key focus areas:

  • Develops and maintains an executive level external network with key players within the ship owning, operating, technical management and chartering segments, which is leveraged against to ensure plans are relevant, prioritised, targeted and timely
  • Maintains an in-depth assessment, based on evidence and insight, of market trends within the ship owning, operating and chartering markets. Able to offer strategic assessments of client needs in key markets, including around fleet renewal, sale and purchase and consolidation. Similarly, able to assist commercial teams with fleet wide account based campaigns, marketing tailored messages of value to drive ship owners to change classification provider to the business.

 

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience working in B2B Digital Marketing – Account based marketing preferred.
  • Experience within an International organisation, preferably within the Maritime sector or within Engineering/Industrial markets
  • Experience working within a Matrix Environment
  • Proven experience gaining results in cross functional and collaborative teams
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, seeking management input, advice and direction when needed, with good communication skills
  • Previously managed relationships with third-party marketing agencies
  • Tertiary Education and Qualifications within a Marketing discipline
  • Must be able to communicate fluently in English and any other additional language is considered a plus

 

Salary Package:

£60,000 p.a. + 25 days  annual leave (+ bank holidays) + generous pension + 35 hour working week + medical cover + life insurance + flexible working options 

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on ships.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Certificates and Qualifications

Mandatory STCW certificates are required from all applicants.
