The Opportunity

Due to the promotion of the previous role holder, we are now recruiting an ELECTRICAL, CONTROL & INSTRUMENTATION ENGINEER to join our Corporate Operations And Maintenance Support Team (OMST.) In this fantastic opportunity you’ll be completing a range of key engineering support, improvement, change and compliance responsibilities at sites around our expanding business in the gas, power, chemical and fuel industries. This means you could be spending a couple of days, weeks, or months, onsite, or working remotely, delivering a mix of hands on, projects, outages, role cover, advising, planning and researching that will see you use and continually develop your engineering skills, knowledge and experience.

You’re also committed to developing yourself and delivering engineering and business improvements and innovation and have the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Minimum Requirements:

  • HNC/ equivalent in electrical and electronic engineering or instrumentation and control disciplines.
  • Advanced apprenticeship in electrical and/or instrumentation engineering and/or maintenance.
  • Successful electrical, control or instrumentation contributions in a 24/7 environment including:
  • Maintenance or fault finding, Contract management, Outage planning/management, Contract management
  • Engineering & Operational interface, Developing, implementing & evaluating improvements & mods.
  • Management of change application, Managing budgets and projects.
  • Knowledge of: SHEQ systems; CMMS; Full project lifecycle; Electricity At Work Regs.; Control valve & actuator types.
  • Control systems: Delta V, S7
  • Reading & interpreting design specifications & technical drawings.
