Electronics Officer (Cruise) – Worldwide

Navis Consulting are currently looking for an electronics officer for one of our prestigious cruise ship clients. The electronics officer is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the communication/navigational/electrical systems as designated by the Chief Electro Technical Officer and Chief Engineer.
Position summary

Specific Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to the following:

• Onboard Communication Equipment – including internal and external.
• Onboard Bridge Navigational Systems.
• Under the instruction of the Chief Electro Technical Officer assist the onboard System Manager and Broadcast Manager to ensure the correct and ongoing operation of the onboard Computer and Broadcast Systems.
• Under the instruction of the Chief Electro Technical Officer assist with the maintenance and repair of the onboard Safety Systems.

Education and Experience

• 2-3 years relevant experience
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• At least 1 year experience on passenger vessels or equivalent in the Electrical/Communications Department.
• GMDSS Operator’s Certificate preferable.
