Chief Officer (Ferry) – Hampshire

I have an immediate opening for a Chief Officer to join a Ferry based in Hampshire on the South Coast.

Initially working until the end of October, there is a chance for this role to become permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the deck department
• Manage the safe and efficient control of passenger and vehicle loading
• Ensure deck crew meet all relevant statutory requirements
• Act as the interface between the <aster and ship’s crew

Requirements:

• Sailed as 2nd Officer or above
• Hold a minimum Officer of the Watch Unlimited Certificate but preferably hold a Master or Chief Mate CoC.
• Previous experience working with passengers
• Effective leadership and communication skills are essential
• Customer focused, empathetic and able to motivate your crew to deliver excellent customer service.

Candidates should be living in a commutable distance to Hampshire as the position is not live on board.

You will be working 5 out of 7 days of the week.
