Second Engineer (Min Y3 or EOOW)

The Client…

Our client is a luxury private yacht.
-60m+ Private Motor Yacht with MTU engines
-Home Port is the Mediterranean
-Itinerary is summer in the Mediterranean and winter in the Mediterranean.
-Crew are mainly yacht professionals from commonwealth countries & Poland.

The Role…

The yacht is seeking a Sole Engineer / Chief Engineer.
-Responsibilities will include overall management, maintenance and repair of the engine room and ancillary systems ensuring the bridge has power when needed.
-The urgency of the role is to start on Feb 23rd but client will wait for any notice period.
-The Rotation of the role is a permanent role, living aboard the vessel with 45 days annual leave

The Person…

The Minimum Qualification needed is either an OOWE or Y3.
-Fluent English OR Polish language skills are essential.
-The person needs to have a Current ENG1 medical certificate.
-The person needs to have 'Hands on' marine engineering skills, strong communication skills and be flexible, adventurous, driven, and sociable and have the ability to work well in a team.
-No Yacht experience is needed - a background in cruise or yachts preferred.
-Light Drinker and non-smoker preferred.
-The Captain wants someone who is Self Motivated and Happy

The Reward…

The role will pay a salary of €5250-5500pcm Tax Free.
-A discretionary 13th month bonus (8.33%) is often paid.
-When the yacht is chartered, tips are shared between the crew (Often €2-3k).

-Cabin Arrangements include your own Cabin for senior officers.
