Senior Systems Engineer – Northeast Hampshire – Permanent Full Time

A technology company in the marine robotics space are currently looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to liaise between the electronic, software and mechanical engineers within the larger group. This client is making waves in the hydrographic space and they are looking for talent that will maintain their momentum.

Required Experience

• Engineering team leadership experience
• The candidate should possess a deep understanding of the engineering principles and concepts that spread across all disciplines (electronic, mechanical, software) and the ability to apply those principles to unique systems for the underwater domain.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Sciences and extensive. Or an MS with some relevant experience. Years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Experienced with programming languages for scripting such as C++, C#, Java, Python, etc.
• Strong interest and curiosity in new technologies and their applications related to UUVs

Responsibilities

• Lead a multidiscipline engineering team including work task prioritization, assignment and review
• Provide recommendations and forward thinking for effective and intelligent system/subsystem design.
• Develop and maintain requirements documents, concept of operations documents, interface control documents, and operations manuals.
• Select, specify, develop, modify, integrate, and evaluate sensors, actuators, communication devices, cabling and connectors, and electrical components (including COTS modules) for both subsea and related surface interface systems.
• Create & manage project plans to track development activities
