Assistant Dockmaster – Permanent – South West

As Assistant Dockmaster, you will be responsible for the operational delivery of the port, which would include duties like, assisting the dockmaster in maintaining the harbour to keep it safe and efficient for all stakeholders, produce procedures and risk assessments, ensuring vessels arrive and depart safely, maintain compliance with the Port Marine Safety Code.

The successful candidate will have:

• Minimum RYA Yachtmaster Power / BML, equivalent or above
• Have experience in undertaking Risk Assessment and working within a SMS
• Awareness of fuel / pollution handling precautions
• Knowledge and understanding of Port and Shipping Operations
