Marine Towage Coordinator – Permanent – Hull – £30k plus benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable shipping company based in Hull. In this role you will provide operational support to deliver towage services.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide cover for Operations Manager.
  • Act as first point of contact for crews.
  • Receive orders from customers organising the scheduling and logistics of fleet to ensure the most efficient use of assets to deliver optimum service.
  • Use the best available information to seek towage agreements with customers for towage services to maximise revenue.
  • Deal with requests for coastal work, salvages or special services as they arise ensuring that all relevant parties are informed as promptly and accurately as possible.
  • Participate in agreed rota system to provide 24-hour coverage for towage operations and emergency service.
  • Process operational invoice information to maintain accurate records of work performed and to facilitate efficient production of sales invoices.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Marine Industry (preferred)
  • Knowledge of scheduling, logistics and resource deployment in any capacity (essential) eg: emergency services/Haulage.
  • Understanding of Maritime rules, regulations, codes and guidelines (desirable).
  • Customer & Stakeholder liaison.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems including Word, Excel and E Mail.
  • Hold a current UK driving Licence due to potential travel to other Ports as required.
