Junior Design Engineer

Junior Design Engineer- Permanent- Oxfordshire- £25,000
Navis Consulting have an opportunity for an individual with the want to develop in their career to assist with the process and manufacturing of ribs/tenders. Based just outside Oxford our client wants a unique individual with the motivation to deliver a high quality service to join their team and be a proactive member of a small technical department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with development projects
• Provide technical support working along side the production and sales department
• Communicate with component suppliers and discuss technical matters
• Product and managed technical assembly and manufacturing drawings
• Assist with water testing
• From concept to pre-production stage assist with build and testing of prototypes
• Control of BOM’s

Experience Required:

• Formal Engineering education to BTEC Level 3 or beyond.
• Computer literate, particularly in 3D CAD (Solidworks/ NX)
• Understanding of general engineering and electrical systems an advantage.
• Understanding of a wide range of manufacturing processes
• Familiarisation with various moulding techniques (laminate schedules is an advantage)

This is a permanent role looking for a passionate individual with an interest in boats wanting to develop their skill set surrounded by a group of individuals sharing the same passion to deliver a high quality service.
