Chief Engineer (Min Y2) for a Sailing Yacht

The Client…
Client = 45m+ Private Sailing Yacht
Home Port = Aegean Sea
Itinerary = Summer in the Med / Caribbean and winter in the Aegean.
Crew = Mainly yacht professionals from commonwealth countries.

The Role…
Job Title = Chief Engineer (Min Y2).
Responsibilities = Responsibilities will include overall management, maintenance and repair of the engine room and ancillary systems ensuring the bridge has power when needed.
Urgency = Start within a month but client will wait for any short notice period.
Rotation = Live aboard with a Single Season - 31 day annual holiday at minimum + lots of holiday available when it isn't chartered in the winter

The Person…
Minimum Qualification = MCA Y2 Chief Engineer.
Medical = Current ENG1 medical certificate.
Personality = The person needs to be a good manager and have 'Hands on' marine engineering skills, strong communication skills and be flexible, adventurous, driven, sociable and have the ability to work well in a team.
Experience needed = Sailing Yacht experience preferred. Knowledge of PLC systems is ideal.
