Vessel Superintendent

Seaworthy Consulting are looking for a Vessel Superintendent to join a Marine Company, with a fleet of Tug vessels. Canidate would need to provide support to the Technical Manager and Marine Manager, ensuring all engineering functions of the business are done in an effective and efficient manner.

This is a permanent, full-time position including paid holidays

Location - working between Wales and South Coast England 
Salary - £40,000 - £50,000 per annum
Start Date - ASAP

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in capacity of Superintendent or corresponding position
• Chief Engineering ticket
• Experience in Shipbuilding/ship repair industry
• Competent IT skill
• Good level of understanding Diesel engines and propulsion systems
• Knowledge of ISM code
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask
• Flexible approach to working of hours and weekends as and when work dictates

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring vessels are compliant with relevant legislation and requirements
• Liaise with Port authorities, Consultants, Shipyards, Contractor, Suppliers, internal management teams
• Provide Marine Engineers technical advice
• Supervision of survey, docking, overalls and other repairs
• Review and update number of internal and safety systems
• Attend and when needed set up required meetings
