Project Manager (New Build) – Permanent – Glasgow – Competitive Package

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading marine technical services provided based in Glasgow. As Project Manager, you will assist the Technical Manager to make sure all the projects are managed and run in a smoothly and safely way. The projects will mainly include New Builds and Ship Repairs and will vary in size and budget.

Responsibilities include:

• The Project Manager will have responsibility for coordinate all the projects from start-up through to acceptance.
• Accountable for translation of “Business Needs” into a project approach; defining, documenting and securing the Project Execution Plan and Contracting Strategy.
• Accountable for project controls: project cost estimating, planning/scheduling, project benchmarking, effective cost control/forecasting, effective project progress control, contracting/procurement-plans, cash flow management and financial status of the project.
• Accountable for development and implementation of Project Quality Control and Assurance.
• Responsible for managing the project interfaces with all parties involved, including internal and external communication and transfer of relevant project data according to a communication plan.
• Accountable for achievement of project objectives (quality, time, budget) and defined expectations of the principal.

Experience Required:

• Experience of managing Projects from start-up through to close-out.
• Experience of managing budgets
• Experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously (desirable)
• New Build experience (Highly desirable)
• University Degree in Marine / Mechanical Engineering or Naval Architecture.
